A unity college is a simple, radical idea: that a nation is built by children who grow up together. Our classrooms, dormitories and playing fields have proven it for over five decades.

Who we are

Federal Government College Enugu is one of the Unity Colleges established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to foster the spirit of national unity among Nigerian youths. Opened on 11 January 1973, the college is a co-educational boarding institution with a proud record in academics, character and service.

Opened as one of Nigeria's pioneer Federal Government Colleges, established to bind a young federation together through shared schooling.

States, one campus

Admission through the National Common Entrance brings students from every state and the FCT into the same houses and the same friendships.

A full boarding community — junior and senior — supported by house masters, matrons, counsellors and a resident clinic.

Academic departments

Sciences, Arts, Languages, Business Studies, Vocational & Technical and Social Sciences — with WAEC, NECO and BECE examination centres on site.
